Croc Run: Half Marathon & 5K Fun Run

Lace up your sneakers and get ready to make a difference for conservation: registration is now open for the Croc Run 2026, an annual 5K and Half Marathon fundraiser hosted by the Crocodile Research Coalition (CRC)!


Whether you’re racing along the stunning Placencia coastline or joining us virtually from anywhere in the world, every step you take supports wildlife conservation, environmental education, and the next generation of conservation leaders in Belize.


Why Run the Croc Run?

Proceeds from this fun and meaningful event go directly to CRC’s Next Gen Croc youth program and other educational outreach efforts. With your support, we’re empowering Belizean youth, increasing community awareness, and protecting the country’s incredible biodiversity.


What to Expect:

  • 🏃‍♂️ Two race options: 5K or Half Marathon
  • 🥇 Medals for all finishers
  • 💵 Cash prizes for top runners
  • 🎭 Costume Prize: Dress up during the 5K for a chance to win something fun!
  • 🐊 Community, conservation, and a race on a beautiful peninsula in Belize. 


Whether you're a runner, jogger, or walker: this race is for everyone who believes in protecting nature and supporting future generations.
 

Participation fees:

 

  • Half marathon in person – 50 BZD
  • 5K Fun Run in person – 40 BZD
  • 5K or Half marathon virtual (Int’l) – 30 USD
  • Half Marathon virtual (Belize) – 50 BZD
  • 5K Virtual (Belize) – 40 BZD
  • Seine Bight Running Club Member – 10 BZD
