The CRC accepts volunteers year-round to assist us in our local nocturnal crocodile eyeshine surveys, biodiversity surveys, and educational outreach events. CRC team members ensure that all volunteers are trained and knowledgeable in the research and education we conduct, providing volunteers an opportunity in conservation research and biology. The amount of days and times will be determined based on the volunteers’ availability and the CRC research schedule.
Currently, the CRC receives volunteers from to assist us in biodiversity surveys, crocodile population surveys, monthly trash pick-ups, and community outreach, while also learning about boots on the ground conservation. Volunteer fee is $50US/day; this conservation donation goes towards gas for any excursions you may attend with us, as well as husbandry needs for our captive crocodiles. Additionally, 25% of the volunteer fee will go towards our in-country conservation and management fund. Volunteers in need of accommodation can stay at Royal Rat.
