The CRC welcomes undergraduate thesis students, graduate students, and other academic researchers to collaborate on projects that operate within local crocodilian habitat. The CRC can provide local expertise and knowledge and can assist in the research permit process, which takes a minimum of 3 months. We suggest those interested in conducting research with us inquire 5-6 months ahead of arrival in Belize given the research permit process. Additionally, research fees which includes our time, expertise and assistance in obtaining research permits depends on scope of project and will be finalized after discussion between researcher and CRC.
We have successfully aided local and international undergraduate and graduate students in their Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral thesis, which includes students from Canada, United States, Ireland, England, Norway, Belgium, and France. Further inquiries can be directed to Research Coordinator Jane Champion here.
